The small town, 17 kilometres southeast of Dubrovnik, is situated in the southern part of the Zupski zaljev bay. The village is located on the peninsula Rat, southeast of the Tiha bay.
The visitor can stroll along beautiful promenades at the beach, through a seven kilometres long pine forest. Because of a good climate, a luxuriant vegetation, beautiful beaches, famous hotels, boarding houses and the friendly atmosphere Cavtat is nowadays one of the most attractive destination at the Adriatic Croatian shore.
